What information we store about you and how we protect it
We only collect personal information that is relevant to the purpose of our website. When you create an account at Tripbirds we will ask you to provide us with an email address and and to select a password. When you sign in using Facebook or Twitter, you provide us with your basic information, such as your name and email. Please note that this is information that would be considered “personally identifiable” meaning information that would allow us to directly identify you.
We take great measurments to protect our users information and in accordance with the Personal Data Act, PUL (the EU Data Protection Directive), we use strict security procedures within Tripbirds to prevent misuse of personal data and unauthorized access.
How will this information used, shared or disclosed?
We will not disclose or share your information with any third parties, except if prompted to do so by law. We may however email you about updates of various kinds regarding the service. You can of course unsubscribe from our mailing list.
Please note: We might decide on buying or selling assets. If parts or all assets of Tripbirds, were acquired, user information would be one of the business assets that would be transferred.
What about cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer. There are two types of cookies - persistent cookies and session cookies. Persistent cookies are stored for a long time on your computer, the cookie has an expiration date. Session cookies have no expiration date and are memorized temporarily on the user’s computer's memory until the browser is closed. A cookie is not a program, can not be used as a virus or access your hard drives and no other site may use information from them.
All major browsers accept cookies automatically. If you wish to disable cookies, you can do so in your browser's security settings. If you reject cookies, Tripbirds won’t work.
